Partners and Co-Founders

Patti Chanthaphone

President
Patti Chanthaphone is a MindPoint Group co-founder and President. She sets the strategic vision for the company and presides over all elements of the company to ensure the company meets its operational goals, delivers leading-edge services, drives high client satisfaction, and provides employees with an environment to grow and achieve professional excellence. Patti is a cybersecurity SME who has been providing IT security program and project management, executive leadership, and leading business development since 1999. She has a successful track record in leading business growth and delivering exceptional cybersecurity services. Patti is a Certified Information Security System Professional (CISSP) with a Master’s degree in Engineering Management (Information Security Management concentration) from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice with a Minor in Legal Studies from George Mason University.

Marc Dixon

Vice President
Marc Dixon is a MindPoint Group co-founder and Vice President where he is responsible for Facility Security Management, Community Outreach, and Corporate Compliance. Marc has been providing subject matter expertise in federal, state, and local government technical writing, proposal management, and business development (BD) operations since 1994. He successfully managed winning proposals in excess of $350 million dollars. He has extensive support experience regarding market and business intelligence, performance measurement, corporate statistical analysis and compliance. During his tenure at MindPoint Group, Marc has promoted the company’s community outreach program where we have dedicated thousands of hours and donated $400K to various community outreach programs. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and an alumnus of Marshall University.

Mariam Es-Haq

Vice President
Mariam Es-Haq is a MindPoint Group co-founder and Vice President responsible for all Corporate Operations. She sets key operational and development goals and manages how the company pursues and achieves those goals. Mariam leads the ongoing development and expansion of all internal operations, including Accounting, Human Resources, Contracts and Compliance, and IT Infrastructure. Mariam has been providing executive management, business development, and program and project management since 1999. She has a proven ability to manage business operations and growth while ensuring quality service delivery. Mariam holds a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from George Mason University.

Matt Shepherd

Vice President
Matt Shepherd is a MindPoint Group co-founder and Vice President responsible for the marketing, sales, and delivery of all of our Information Security and Privacy (IS&P) services. He is a cybersecurity SME responsible for managing and developing IS&P solutions teams and delivering excellent support services for government and commercial sector clients. In addition to overseeing and implementing IS&P service offerings, Matt is responsible for developing a portfolio of contracts to leverage the company’s strong IS&P capabilities across all applicable markets. Matt has been providing program and project management and technical leadership in Information Technology since 1999. Matt has a Master’s degree in Information Assurance from Capital College and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Philosophy from St. Mary’s College.

Peter Davies

Director, Proactive Security
Peter is responsible for building out our penetration testing and red team solutions, which are designed to assist clients in the assessment of complex networks and applications to identify and remediate security issues in a diverse range of environments. With over 20 years of IT experience, over 15 of those years have been focused on providing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to commercial and government clients.

Humaira Es-Haq

Director, Corporate Operations
Humaira oversees Corporate Operations within the company to include Human Resources, Recruiting, and IT Infrastructure. She leads organizational development and continuously builds company infrastructure to ensure that these critical company functions scale as our service delivery grows. The success she has achieved is attributable to her proactive engagement directly with Directors within IS&P to facilitate the customer service delivery that they are responsible for leading.

Jennifer Mehrpour

Director, Growth
Jennifer is responsible for pursuing new business and growing existing business. Jennifer brings over 20 years of commercial and Federal IT contracting experience in business development, capture management, and solution design. Prior to joining MPG, she led business development, capture and solution strategies at SAIC, CSC/CSRA, Creative Computing Solutions, and Nortel Networks and has designed solutions for GAO, NRC, and DHS.

Justin Nemmers

Director, Products Automation, and Innovation
At MindPoint Group, Justin uses his product, marketing, and sales expertise to help identify new products and service opportunities to bring to market. As former GM of Ansible, Justin was instrumental to growing the Ansible business tenfold after the Red Hat’s acquisition. Through his product leadership, he has significant experience driving adoption at scale within global commercial and public sector organizations.

James Rodgers

Director, Cybersecurity Defense
James is responsible for managing our cyber threat, cyber hunt, incident response, and insider threat solutions teams. He is a cybersecurity expert with over 20 years’ experience in information assurance, security engineering/architecture, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cyber threat intelligence, and security operations centers (SOC), and he has successfully led the development of enterprise security programs and organizations to include establishing four SOCs across both the U.S. Federal Government and Financial Sector.

Andrew Seely

Director, Architecture and Engineering (A&E)
Andy is responsible for managing our cybersecurity engineering programs and teams. The A&E team’s product development focus includes Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) Readiness, Cybersecurity Engineering Reviews, Cloud Security Automation, and Privacy Engineering. His former roles include VP of Solution Architecture for National Security and Space at SAIC, Chief Engineer at HQ US Central Command, Operations Manager at Makena Technologies, and Command and Control Systems Engineer at HQ US European Command. Andy is a US Air Force veteran and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post 242. In addition to his role at MindPoint Group, Andy is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus, holds leadership positions in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is a volunteer leader in the Central Florida Region of the American Red Cross.

Gabriela Smith-Sherman

Director, Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Gabriela is a former Federal agency CISO with over 15 years of experience in leading and implementing comprehensive enterprise cybersecurity programs and initiatives. She leads our GRC services portfolio, and is directly engaged in our support for multiple cabinet-level Department CISOs. She is a U.S. combat disabled veteran who understands the importance of mission and is dedicated to delivering high-quality results and value to customers through innovative solutions.

Elaine Toennies

Director, IS&P Chief of Staff
Elaine is a passionate servant leader with over 20 years of professional experience supporting people and advancing projects and initiatives across Federal IT, banking, and healthcare. She supports, Matt Shepherd in his role by acting as a force multiplier for achieving the company’s strategic vision. She leads up some of the company’s most important initiatives, and coordinates with leaders across the company to achieve these goals. She continually works to mature internal processes, re-enforce corporate culture, and to become indispensable to everyone around her.

Arsalan Abbasi

Manager, GRC
Arsalan manages a Governance, Risk and Compliance solution team for MindPoint Group. Arsalan is a cybersecurity professional with over 10 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on IT Security and ICAM. Arsalan has supported various government agencies throughout his career and has specializations in many different areas of cybersecurity, including penetration testing, security architecture and design, and vulnerability management.

April Bethune

Manager, Accounting
As the Account Manager at MPG, April’s responsibilities include managing the accounting team, financial reporting and developing processes and procedures that will enable growth. April joined MindPoint Group in 2020 and has over 15 years of experience working in the government contracting industry. Her past experience includes management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, fixed assets, DCAA audits, GSA audits, month-end close, and year-end audit/close.

Eron Covington

Manager, Proactive Security and Security Operations
Eron has 18 years of experience in Information Technology and 12 years as a Penetration Tester and holds various Red Teaming and Penetration Testing certifications. In addition to these skills and certifications, Eron has experience in helping MPG customers design, implement and manage their Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) infrastructure.

Akintola Dasilva

Manager, GRC
Akintola’s interest in technology as a child led him into the IT industry after graduating from the University of Maryland. Akintola has specialized in GRC during his 15+ year career in cybersecurity, helping to assess and improve security for many federal government and private industry clients.

Samantha Dizor Carter

Manager, FedRAMP and GRC
Samantha is an experienced Information cybersecurity professional with a background in auditing who leads our FedRAMP 3PAO and associated services. When she’s not busy running FedRAMP programs, she is an avid runner and has run several marathons and even a 50k.

David Federlein

Manager, Engineering and Principal Product Architect
As the MindPoint Group Principal Product Architect, he is responsible for designing, planning, and delivering Lockdown Enterprise’s superior capabilities. Amongst David's numerous talents: identifying and ramping up the best talent on the planet. David built and ran the pre-acquisition Ansible support organization and continued to be a senior member of the post-acquisition Ansible leadership team.

Davida Gray

Manager, Human Resources
Davida manages MindPoint Group’s Human Resources where she oversees the relationship between MPG and employees. She has 17 years of extensive business experience in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Training and HR Business Partner services. Davida is a tenured HR leader supporting cyber security programs, NASA, and many other federal government contractors.

Anthony Mercaldo

Manager, Cybersecurity Shared Services
Anthony has been providing management consulting support to federal shared service centers for over ten years. He is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity shared services for customers, which provide them with highly effective cybersecurity capabilities through standard, cost-effective service models. He has a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as Bachelor’s in Psychology and Criminology & Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.

Keith Rhea

Manager, Cloud Security
Keith Rhea is a Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert, leading our cloud security solutions. He specializes in Automation, Network Security, Cloud Security, and Cloud Optimization services for government and commercial sector clients. Keith has been providing security automation and engineering to improve cybersecurity effectiveness since 2005. Keith is an AWS Certified Solution Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Sciences from Washburn University.

Ben Strauss

Manager, Business Development
Ben manages MindPoint Group’s commercial contracts along with MindPoint Group’s Ansible Counselor and Lockdown Enterprise business. Ben is a technology enthusiast with a business background in areas of cybersecurity and IT operations with a focus on proactive security practices, configuration management, and IT automation/orchestration.

Nicholas Vaccariello

Manager, GRC
Nick manages MindPoint Group’s Vendor Risk Management portfolio. Nick is an experienced Information security professional with a background in Governance, Risk, and Compliance, as well as Security Assessments. Nick has experience in program management as well as performing assessments in support of Third-Party Risk Assurance, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and NIST 800-53.

Lindsay Van Dyke

Manager, Federal Growth
Lindsay leads MindPoint Group’s Federal Growth & Business Development proposal team and supports the company capture and strategic growth efforts. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Tech.

Anita Walker

Manager, GRC
Anita manages a portfolio of clients for MindPoint Group within the Legislative Branch and NASA where she manages teams providing Governance, Risk and Compliance, Cloud Security, Security Architecture and Engineer as well as Security Operations. Anita has over 20 years of IT policy, audit, and compliance experience.
