What was your first job?
I started my career as a lifeguard for our community pool the day that I turned 16. I kept that going for 6 years and was managing pools for the last 4 years of my tenure. I learned so much from those years of lifeguarding that I can still apply to my role at MPG today!
What do you like to do when you are off the clock?
Outside of being the Uber driver for my kids every day to get them to their activities, I love to workout with my fellow cheer moms a few days a week and I am a total foodie! I check out new restaurants whenever I have the time. My favorite restaurant is the Bistro L’Hermitage in Woodbridge which has fabulous French food 😊.

What is your favorite thing about working from home?
Some people say they could never work from home but for me, I don’t think I could ever go back to a desk or office situation. I work better in the comforts of my own home and my favorite thing about it is having my dog, Jazzy, right by my side all day.
What's the best piece of professional advice you've ever received?
The best piece of advice I ever got was basically that no job is beneath you. Meaning the small things that you do are just as important as the big things and that they all have value in someway. Taking the time with a candidate that may not necessarily work for your position at that time, could benefit you a year down the road when the right position presents itself.
What's the most exciting part of your job?
The best part of my job is placing someone in a position that they love and having them reach out to me six months later and thank me for putting them there. I take recruiting someone in a position very seriously and really care about each person that I talk to.

What is your advice to job seekers?
Be nice to recruiters. We can read your resume but when we ask you to describe what you do, it is because we are interested to see how you communicate, not only with us as a recruiter but how you will communicate with the customer. Relax. Phone screens, video calls and panel interviews are a conversation with another person(s) to get to know what you do. Be truthful and honest about what you can do, what you have done and know it is alright to say you do not know or have not done something. Be patient. The right opportunity is out there for you whether it is with MindPoint Group or another company. Oh...and spell check!
